Media and Liga Indonesia

There was interesting question on SCTV’s “Issue of the Week” last week which discussed about chaos in Indonesian Soccer. The guy from Persija Jakarta’s fans asked to Kompas journalist, Anton Sanjoyo, who attended as one of panelists.

“Why do Kompas always give a little coverage for Indonesian Soccer League (Liga Indonesia), but do opposite portion if chaos happened?” asked the guy who I forgot his name but has a great sense of humor.

Unfortunately, Joy, Anton’s nickname, didn’t have a time to answer it. I was thinking what Joy would say if he had times. Maybe, it will be the same with my media policies about Liga Indonesia.

Liga Indonesia is about anomaly. Hanky panky and unfair enough in many areas, especially referees. In that situation, will it be important to report scores and news in large portion around that to public? All what need to report is only its villain, not the game. Many media treat news from Liga Indonesia as a complementary, not their main sport coverage.

Soccer fans in Indonesia need to know about all undercover facts of Liga Indonesia. So their support won’t be useless. I think Joy and Kompas have this kind of policy. After all, media has a role to brighten up people.

Disgraceful

Secretary General Indonesia FA (PSSI), Nugraha Besoes, promised to solve all problems in its organization. He said that in SCTV’s “Issue of The Week” program few days ago. He also asked out all soccer society to do the same, at least a positive support.

That was very funny. A new one from him. As a matter of fact, he is one of source of villain in PSSI. As Secretary General, Besoes has a big role and all decision will be under his authority. When PSSI likes to make grey decision, is there any possibility out of his known? There’s not logic at all, mister. One of way to solve problems in PSSI is revolution. All persons, including you, should walk out the door.

Besoes is really inteligent man. I’ve never doubted his capability dan ability to manage Indonesian soccer. Never and ever. The problem is not his brain, but mental dan conscience. He understands everything to make Indonesia soccer better. He has much knowledges for doing that. Nevertheless, he’s never used that for Indonesian soccer prosperity, but chaos one. So, all of you, please don’t judge Besoes is uncapable or stupid. He only never has goodwill. He disorganizes Indonesian soccer by purpose.

Actually, I like his speech style. Very attractive and deceiving. But at the same time, that’s very poor and disgraceful.
